Almost all traditional Indian dance forms use ghungroo. These are applicable to all dancing styles. Indian classical dancers wear ghungroos, which are melodic anklets. The primary use of the Ghungroos on rope is in Kathak dancing. The principal uses for ghungroo pairs, which are constructed of brass and mounted on colorful cloth, velvet pads, or cotton pads, are in Odissi, Kuchipudi, and Bharatanatyam dance. The size of the ankle bell can be selected based on the dancer’s age and ankle length.
